Chicago, IL … As a way to help parents learn the latest Internet fads and potential dangers, State Representative Michael McAuliffe (R-Chicago) is hosting two Internet Safety Seminars in October.

The Internet Safety Seminars will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Oriole Park, 5430 N. Olcott Ave., Chicago, and at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Hiawatha Park, 8029 W. Forest Preserve Drive, Chicago.

“The Internet provides a new way to not only find information, but also to meet new people. Unfortunately, it also provides another outlet for sexual predators and bullies. I encourage all parents and grandparents to learn how to better protect children from being victim to an online crime,” said McAuliffe.

The program will entail an informative presentation by a representative from the Illinois Attorney General’s Office on how to keep children safe online.
