Chicago, IL … As a way to help parents learn the latest Internet fads and potential dangers, State Representative Michael McAuliffe (R-Chicago) is hosting two Internet Safety Seminars in October.

 

The Internet Safety Seminars will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Oriole Park, 5430 N. Olcott Ave., Chicago, and at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Hiawatha Park, 8029 W. Forest Preserve Drive, Chicago.

Chicago, IL … Legislation making it a felony to possess a particular type of key used to break locks, sponsored by State Representative Michael McAuliffe (R-Chicago), was recently signed into law.

 

“I am proud to have this legislation signed into law. I originally sponsored the bill a few years ago after speaking to a police officer in my district who was concerned about a new burglary technique called lock bumping. After learning more about this special key, I decided that it was equally as dangerous as other tools used to break into homes, vehicles and other private property,” said McAuliffe.
